Finally managed to get my camera to sync with my mac..

Time for a change

With the recent SVN updates to freshpowder and the simple design I have just created for my flavors.me site/page/whatever (not sure what to class is), i’m thinking I might look at incorporating the same image of me with my camera on this site.

What do you think?

Just a bit of info about the 1000d if your interested.

Lowepro Nova 170 aw. It‘s got a lot of room for a little bag. Manages to fit my three lenses in with room to spare.

The 50mm 1.8 (Nifty Fifty). I‘ve only taken 4 shots with it so far and already I can see why people love it.

I bought a dslr

I‘ve been looking for a long time. With my upcoming honeymoon I really wanted to upgrade my camera.

The reasoning is two pronged. Not only was I wanting better image quality for my honeymoon (Switzerland and Paris), I am also interested in pushing my photography further. Maybe even look at a bit of fashion photography.

I was all set to purchase the Nikon D3000. I liked the inbuilt guide mode which I thought would help me understand a little more about what settings do what, and how to achieve certain effects.

Turns out that since the D3000 doesn‘t have an autofocus motor in the body lenses were a little more expensive. Namely the 50mm 1.8 was going to almost be double the Canons price.

Hence I bought the Canon 1000d twin lens IS kit along with the 50mm 1.8. Today i‘ll head out and take some shots.

I‘ll post some pics of my new kit.
